Google is building a new messaging service using chatbot technology. In this fast growing area, Facebook already has the lead with Facebook M, a chatbot that blends AI and human components to execute tasks for users.

Messaging servers are now the most popular apps. With around two billion users on messaging services, Google is lagging far behind with its two primary messaging apps, Hangouts and Messenger. Hangouts and Messenger, which are both bundled with Android are far behind competitors such as Facebook Messenger, Snapchat, WhatsApp.

gigatech2Googles service is rumored to be a collection of chatbots, which are AI software programs which will answer users questions directly. When a user asks a quesiton, a chatbot will search the web or a database of its own and answet the question or present the information requested. Googles method looks to differ from other emerging services by using different chatbots for different categories.

It is not known what this service will be called or when it will be launched but it is known to be under development for the last two years. We do not even know if the service will even see the light of day or will be integrated instead into Google Search or Google Now.

Messaging apps are based on social connections, which is a weakness for Google. Given this and its past performance, its success is not guaranteed.

Finally music by the Beatles will be available to stream from almost all of the popular streaming services as of the 24th of December 2015. Many fans of the Beatles have been waiting for this moment. The following streaming services have been confirmed to get it:

  • Spotify
  • Google Play
  • Apple Music
  • Microsoft Groove
  • Tidal
  • Slacker Radio
  • Deezer
  • Amazon Prime Music
  • Rhapsody

The music streaming will be available a minute after midnight anywhere in the world. This means that streamers in Australia and New Zealand will be the first to be able to stream it.

This also means the end of the exclusivity that iTunes enjoyed on the digital versions of the Beatles catalog. Until now iTunes was the only place you could purchase and listen to the Beatles catalog online.

Another important note is that the catalog will be available on even the free streaming tier of Spotify. Something that other artists have issues with. Taylor Swift for example withheld her album 1989 from Spotify. She would only make it available if and when it was only available in the paid tier.

For those of you who have still not signed up for a streaming service, this might be just the reason to do so.

Few things will have a bigger effect on our mood than the climate around us. Think about it: when the temperature spikes, you probably don’t feel much like moving. Even your thoughts may slow as you have a hard time focusing on anything other than how incredibly hot it is around you.

In the past, this generally meant turning to the air conditioner and letting it do its thing. These days, though, relying on something as archaic as a fan coil unit to keep you comfortable just seems too outdated to be reliable.

This is why so many people have moved to units with alternatives to traditional fan coils. Furthermore, you’ll notice an upward trend to those looking to use a rental portable air conditioner for the issue.

By renting a unit, you don’t have to make a permanent investment. If you live somewhere with distinguishable seasons, you’re going to soon find that it’s only a matter of time before you no longer need that AC unit. It’s then you’ll be glad you can just return it and save your money.

So the next time you find yourself in the mood for a slightly cooler habitat, check out what a rental AC unit can do, especially if it comes with alternative coils.

There are countless reasons you may want portable air conditioners. No matter what they are, make the smart move by investing in MovinCool’s products. You’ll get a great price and the results you wanted.

Apple Music is now available for Android phones. It’s a first – a user-centric app that has been created for Android itself.

No doubt a number of people will begin to examine how Apple builds on Android, the features that have been ported from iOS and what Apple Music truly looks like in the age of smartphones.

In speaking with TechCrunch about Apple Music, Eddie Cue said, “We’ve obviously been really excited about the response we’ve gotten to Apple Music. People love the human curation aspects of it, discovery, radio. But from the moment we got into music, many, many years ago, we’ve always wanted to do things for everyone when it came down to music. Part of that was letting you enjoy your music no matter where you were and what products you were using.”

It must be pointed out that this beta version of Apple Music for Android has been launched in every country except for China. For the latter, another beta will be launched separately.

Also, Apple Music is very similar to its iOS version and comes with a 3-month free trial. Also, it requires Android 4.3. It also works with Connect, For You, New, Radio and Beats 1 and My Music.

One cool thing about Apple for Android is that you can access music that you have bought in Apple Music or even iTunes.

Yet it is missing a few features: Music Videos isn’t available apart from signing up for a family membership plan. Of course, if you have purchased a family membership plan elsewhere, your Apple ID can help you get access to it.

The numbers of Facebook video viewership is increasing substantially by the day. This figure currently stands at 500 million viewers watching 8 billion average daily views by the day.

This is a clear jump from 4 billion view per day – a figure that was collected in April.

This announcement was made by Mark Zuckerberg when speaking with investors who were following the Facebook’s Q3 2015 earnings report.

Of course, some people might say that these stats are accurate as Facebook considers 3 seconds of watching as a view. Still, with 100% growth in just seven months, it is clear that users continue to increase their consumption of video content.

For that matter, even at 3 seconds per view, Facebook is generating 760 years of watch time every other day. This means that there’s massive amounts of space for Facebook to attract TV commercial dollars. Another experiment to increase viewership has been undertaken where it pays revenue to top video creators too.

Also, it is running a Suggested Video interface on both mobile and web which recommends certain videos considering all the information it has on people and their interests. It’s obvious that this discovery will give Facebook an edge over YouTube.

There’s another video feed in the works which people can use to browse different channels of videos that are shared by friends whether trending on Facebook or based on themes.

Other tests involve picture-in-picture viewing which allows people to also check what’s happening in the News Feed. Another option that is being offered is to Save a Video for later.

So, it should be obvious that with all this attention to videos, this type of media is critical to both Facebook’s mission and business.
